No, PAD can be installed by anyone without the need for a technician. The device does not require any special installation as it is battery-powered and has no cables to connect to the gate. Simply purchase the device, install the free app, and follow a short guided procedure to copy your remote.
After that, you can conveniently open using a PIN code set from the app!
PAD can control up to 2 gates/garages within a range of 20-30 meters.
PAD is compatible with over 800 remote models, both fixed code and Rolling Code. For non-compatible remotes, we developed the KIT—a small receiver + remote kit connected in parallel that makes any automation compatible.
No, PAD uses Bluetooth LE 4.0, so no internet connection is required. Our product uses Bluetooth for situations where Wi-Fi does not reach the gate/garage, because it is too far or underground. Bluetooth 4 consumes very little battery compared to Wi-Fi, allowing a completely wireless device usable by anyone without an installer.
Additional PINs can be purchased directly from the "1Control" app.
The cost is €5 each.
The "1Control" app is completely free and downloadable from the Apple iPhone and Google Android stores. There are no additional costs to use the PAD device with the app.
Only those with the PIN set by the device administrator can open it.
PAD is protected with the latest security algorithms, and communication between PAD and the gate/garage uses the same security as the original remote.
PAD does not replace the remote. It works in parallel and offers features the classic remote cannot, like limiting each PIN to certain days and times.
It can also control 2 gates/garages, often replacing more than one remote.
